About Us
Mt. Adnah was established in 1851 to meet the needs of a growing mid-nineteenth century Fulton community that had no central, permanent resting place for its deceased. Mt. Adnah continues to meet those needs for people of all faiths and beliefs.
The word Adnah is Syrian and means “rest” or “repose.” The cemetery therefore became the “Mount of Repose,” a peaceful, beautiful place of rest. This is reflected in its picturesque landscape, undulating contours, serpentine drives, naturalistic plantings, multiple generations of trees and a vast variety of mortuary architecture.
So many of the headstones, monuments and mausoleums here are works of art and a testament to our rich legacy.
